Hey fellas, caught a metre long flathead from the rocks today on the first cast. Are these fish common up here? If so, I might take my dancing shoes next time cause that's unreeeel

Nil. Dropped phone in h2o trying to coordinate boga and rod. It was a mc monster. Didn't fight much though, probably cause I had the drags set for trevs. Taste better than the ones from down south by a long way. must be due to water quality

They're not that common , but you can definitely catch them from time to time as a by catch. I've caught many down at buffalo creek beach and lee point fishing for whiting and bream during the colder times, good to eat as well.

Great to eat. Catch heaps of them up here in soft plastics. Hard to believe a meter long though. Have not seen them any bigger then around 40cm up here.

Def no shark. Frame located in bushes near boat ramp for further examination. Fillets soon to be located in toilet Obviously I am without proof, much to my disappointment. Will endeavour to catch another in the coming weeks and get evidence

duno bout up here, but qld has a limit of 45 to 80 cm for take home, as after 80cm there breeders. FYI probably one of the sweetest flesh around, enjoy.
