Punter dropped this in me lap and I thought I'd put it to the Forum.
Every year the Variety Club chuck a Chrissie party for the kids less fortunate than ours, every kid there gets a pressie, and for alot of them it's the only one they do get. How about we, as a whole, help kick it along? It just means buying one extra present and puttin a smile on the dial of some little tacker. It doesn't have to be a present..some of these kids have never been fishin', or out in a boat, just for a ride. I'm open to all ideas. 'Porky' Cornell from Darwin Container Services, is a mate and one of the big movers behind Variety here in darwin and If everyone decides to get on board with this, I'll talk to him and find out what we can do to make some of the kids lives a bit happier..even if it's only for a day. Cheers graham(shorty).

My misses does abit of work kids in Darwin. She calls it "buddys day" were they take the kids on day trips around the place, like berry springs, the croc park, and the water park. I can ask her more about it??? Maybe FFF might be able to work together on this one ????, you never know it could end up being annual event which would bring good PR for both organisations working with the community. Its good to see people are willing to give back to community.

I know Variety are big on everything to do with kids, and I'll put your suggestion to Porky, this is mainly about bringing a bit of sunshine into the lives of some of the kids who spend Chrissie watching on as other kids play with their presents. Something along the lines of what you're suggesting could become a stand-alone event..perhaps mid year.. F F F Day.. doesn't sound too bad, and as you said..It would be great PR. Thanks Ben, your support is much appreciated.
