Went for a look at a coastal village called Keppel Sands.

Caught nothing.

Perhaps I should have taken more note of the attached message.

Check out the reel. A shimano sedona.

Took it home and it cleaned up OK. Mono line was affected by heat so the reel wasn't exposed to fire. Both rods were shimano as well.

Musta been unhappy about something !!!!

My guess would be the rods were so "hot" they spontaneously combusted.

May be they strayed out of the green zone and a wild QLD based PEW representative took it upon themselves to correct the mistake.
