hey all fairly new to this gonna attempt my first post here we go. Ill start with the basics im nick 25 born and bred territorian and i love f***ing barra fishing about two weeks ago i was sitting round home with the missus bored shitless Then bang the idea of going for a looksy at daly just come rocketing in my head. Get up lets go was the order i gave the missus with in no time we were out the door rods in hand esky in boot. Got to Bamboo at the daly at around 430 pm we walked down the bank and i tied on my first lure a green shallow diver hard body. first cast............ second cast......... BANG!!! i was on with absolute amazment really got me off guard this one buts thats what i love about barra fishing you never ever know. A very nice chromy at 72 was brought to the banks WHOOPA. The minute i could i was back in the water with in a few more casts i was on again another 72 and then another 75 and then a 69 then a 78 and a 76 and the smallest of the day at 67 what the hell i was on fire a random trip that couldnt be planned or timed any better. Its now 630 and things started to slow down so i thought id try my trusty doa bait buster 10 min later another in the 70's was pulled in 15 min after that and BAM!!! ooooo i thought thats a better fish and after a good fight and a few aerobatics a very clean healthy 93 was bought a shore. So i managed 9 nice fish with in a few hrs i was one happy man my girl just couldnt believe it nor could i really. I sat in the car for a good 10 min just reflecting how sick that fishing session was thank you mr barramundi it was now time to head home i jamed 4 fish in the back of the ve in the little 70L esky i had and we were off with a smile from ear to ear. Cant wait for my next trip i wonder where ill end up.

Top read mate! Its good to see that Landbased fishing still produces good fish!

it sure does mate dont you worry about that been landbased fishing here for roughly 9 yrs now and there are plenty of great spots to land good barra all year round basically. Finally got myself a boat about 9 months ago and have barely caught a fish on it im totally lost and useless once i leave the banks oh well ill get there adds to the fun hey
