Hi Blowski....if the goldies are on the rock ledge just right of the palmo boatramp tends to be a regular goldie producer. Aim for the first rush of the incoming. If you are there at the end of the runnout take a spin outfit as the barra often feed along the mudflats on the downstream side of the ledge. Best spot for lyour bait is the lee side of the ledge. ie just left of it on an incoming. Go the other side if the tide is going out. Its rocky so you may lose tackle. If it doesnt fire within a half hour of the tide coming in pack up and head to the middle arm spot.

Ha ha landlocked! Youve gotta make that call!
"Best" is also relative....if you are fishing with kids youve gotta think safety. fishing with a non-fisho youve gotta think mud and midgies tolerance. Also I havent looked at the tides but timing is critical...estuary fishing lives and dies on the tide. First rush of the incoming usually but some places only at the top and others at the start of the droppping tide. And barra over the low.
Also, every new spot takes a little while to work out. Ever been fishing somewhere and suddenly a bunch of locals start turning up at a particular random time? And they leave at about the same point? They know something that needs to be learnt...
Luck
And Blowski yeah thats the place. i dont live bait but that would turn up a good fish.....throw your vollunteer over to the mud bank right of the ledge (look for a drain) for a baz, threadie or queenie. Take another outfit for the goldies/bream both prawns and squid are fine but squid stays on better.

The young feller has done a bit off the jetty, heaps of different things, goldies, bream, threadies, blue salmon, Barra and Jew. Just gotta be there at the right time on the right tide and get em!!

Well I am suprised. In a good way though. Night fishing off the jetty I assume, especially for the jews? I've only been there in the evening and didn't see anyone get any bites or even catch any little ones.
