As far as Tarpon go we are the worlds losers, they get them big in the temperate areas everywhere but here, when I win lotto I gotta go get me one after the Nuigini Bass and Nile Perch or before I can't decide.
Regardless they're firkin awesome fish.

i work at vansittart bay in the kimberleys based on a mother ship at night there is big taropn swimming around the ship ,have hooked into a couple pf bigger ones only ever manged to land a few there all around 2-3kg some are bigger they are good fun on light gear
