I pulled mine the other day and motor kept running. :bonk:

most marine tune ups are supposed to include this check.

bugger I do my own. :banghead:

don't assume it will work give it a tset every now and then.

But interesting question. If the skipper is wearing it and goes overboard and you are in fast water. Who here has a spare fob to enable their deckie to restart the motor and pick him up? I just replaced mine and am thinking the old one should get hooked up to a cable tie next tot he kill switch for ease of access.

Guy I know fell out on the Daly a few years back. Fortunately, he was only 15m from the bank. Unfortunately, the bank was almost vertical and he dragged himself 'high enough' to see his boat career into the opposite bank.
He straps that lanyard on now before he leaves his caravan.

Yeah, I wonder how that goes in the wet though? I have been absolutely soaked from waves coming over the side. Has anyone tried it?

Thats a thought Dan , reckon it would have to be submersion activated .
Be a bitch in a ruff sea if a splash set it off .
