Hey guys, I'm planning a trip in April with a few mates to the Roper, our plan is to drive into port roper and camp down that way, Does anyone know if this is acheivable that time of year? ie: road conditions, I'll be towing a 4.6 tinny Is there a ramp there? Thanks any help would be much appreciated Cheers O

There's a ramp at Port Roper. Pretty good one.
Road conditions will depend upon the timing of the wet.
No water there. No shade trees. There's a bit of a frame for throwing tarps over about 20m from the ramp. Wouldn't recommend it as I'm a bit croc shy. Nice leisurely stroll up ramp at high tide, hop skip and jump and u have a croc in your camp (or worse).
Pro crabbers get crocs in their camp at night at times.
One permanent pro fisherman there plus a group of pro crabbers with shanties set up just across mangroves near boat ramp.
