Re: freshwater eels
I fished for them down south, great fun and good to eat but you won't get them up here. Only small skinny ones at times. They are London finned eels you are after, not a tropical species.

Why don't you carve up some Powertail sashimi for entrée while you’re at it?

Smoking fish was invented so as even sh@t fish can have a nice flavour
I thought eel fishing was for the unfortunate country folk who cant make it to salt water to catch decent tasting fish,at least that was my impression of it when I went fishing for them with some friends in Vic in the 70's LOL

Re: freshwater eels
i think we have eels yhay breed up in the freshwater and live down at the coast rest of the time but up here they are slimy lots of bones and nasty mouthfull of sharp teeth ... i think the Powertail would be much better ... even paper fish would be better
