What is the correct procedure if you are lucky enough to catch a big Barra for the wall ,not too many people have an esky large enough to fit a big fish in and if its in the first half hour of trolling at Sampan say you havnt got a hope of getting it back to where it can be chilled, thats if you wanted to leave after half an hour after all that travelling Im sure the rest of the crew wouldnt 8-)

I've heard rumours that there is a guy in Darwin who can do up a mould from photo's and measurements. But that is as far as my knowlege goes unfortunatley.

There's a guy in Nowra that does mould"s you need to measure the fish. lenght & girth (in his case, cut off the peck fin"s).

He uses the peck fins in the mould. I would imagne there's a cowd in Darwin that does the same

Max there are a few ways you can do it... Jules is correct..there is a guy in town who will do a FRP mold from pics and a few messurements..

I will ask the sister-inlaw as she was with the musseum as a taxidermist for 7 years or so and did a lot of the fish molds in there... :mrgreen:
