Hi everyone, need a few tips on how to join my backing line to my braid. Not sure how to tie the knot. Also I lost a couple of nice fish due to snap swivels pulling and would like to learn hoe to tie a good knot from my leader to the lure direct. Please help I have no idea Ended up getting 20 pound braid and 40 pound leader line.

Hi Tinni, pop into the ski club on Tues evening 6th Jan for the DGFC club meeting & make yourself known. I will be around someplace & be glad to help with all sorts of knots etc. Bring your line.

Try tying two bimini twists and joining them with a double cats paw, it retains most of the breaking strain of both lines. They are both common and essential knots and can be found in 'that little blue knot book' I think its by Geoff Wilson?
