Thanks Ibbsy for the tips. Where do you put in to fish the Blackmore? BTW, I have linked to Sean's FB page
Jonr, I am off on another fishing trip on Thursday and am looking after the kids during their holidays, so I will have to tag along another time. More importantly, do you have a fishing spot that is good for kids close to Darwin that you are willing to share?
FF - It was one of the greatest experiences I have had out on the water......
for anyone else if you are interested in reading about how we went go to blogs/wicksy/
Here is an example of the smiles we shared:

tim,
neap creek in east arm is where I go. incomming tide about an hour after low on springs. live bait and squid and prawns.. follow up the channel until you get to the mangroves... you will have non stop action for an hour or 2 on all manner of little fish and the odd barra as well... my first choice for kids or first timers...
give me a call if you need more details...
my kids started off small but now need a little more action to keep them satisfied.. a few resent photos.

Thanks Jon, I remember you saying Neap Creek now that you mention it. Knowing when to go and how to fish the area is the key. Thanks for sharing the info and the photos. I would like to tag along with you guys sometime, maybe when my kids have a bit more experience. One of the really interesting things about fishing with your kids is watching them discover new facets of fishing.
Ibbsy, Sean's videos are awesome keep up the good work.
