Just wondering if anyone can give me some tips or spots to catch some decent salt water fish in Darwin? I only ever get onto little bait stealers.

Use lures or live bait= no bait stealers.

only been fishing in the ocean a couple of times rivers are my thing. would love to catch a feed of snapper or a jew.

Grab a copy of the Fish Finder, very handy!! available from most fishing shops. It's not just about spots but timing, tides etc.

A low tide below 2m is the go fish any of the gutters up the creeks on the run in using a spin rod and small plastics. Elizibeth river is your best bet at the moment because of the wind. I like gulp prawns, there is no action in them just let it sink to the bottom then jig it up and let it sink again. good luck.
