I doubt anything will be done, the blame will go back and forth till where sick of hearing about it and in the they,ll just blame the poor train driver, even thou all that toxic shyt is now in our water ways and soil, it will just be swept under the carpet!!! NOW drop your car,s oil on your car in the nature stip and see the shyt you get into !!!!!! Funny how it,s against the law to drop oil anywhere on the ground ,yet at tha v8,s they spray 1000,s of litres on the roads , car parks and the bus pickup area!!! so basicly the nt govt couldnt give a shyt.........

Probably not , but I reckon they may look for some scapegoat ,I'm sure they'll find some one who had little to do with it to pin the blame on.
Like the old saying " I'm not saying it's your fault ,I'm just blaming you".
Of course we will have to have an enquiry that runs for at least 2-3 years ,employ some big fat cats at mega dollar salaries , and end up with a "mother nature" or "act of God" determination.
Maybe I'm cynical .
Kev.

I cant understand how and why in this day and age there was no early warning sytem set up at the bridge/crossing to warn the oncoming train of possible trouble

On the bridges there is a system in place to monitor the river heights. Problem happens when this isnt passed on to anyone ie the train drivers.
