Mate I watch the BOM river heights, I reckon that if the Mt Nancar station is at about 8 metres and dropping it is probably a good bet...Always worked pretty good for me.
Having said that, I have had some cricket score sessions upstream when it is higher than that!

seen the post about Mt Nancar the river is a bit narrow there so its always abit high there but yeah the BOM river height is the way to go just remember its takes about 4 days for the water tocome from katherine river bridge so its always good to keep a one on that cause if thats up it will push the daly up as. so i always go off the katherine bridge and the daly river crossing height.
