I thought it was worse than last year. Seem to be hardly any small stall exhibitors inside like last years and also seemed hardly anything outside. As for the fly fishing exhibit just down on the water - you could hardly see it and the girl giving the 'commentary' up where we all were was so quiet and didn't look like she wanted to be there - person with more enthusiasm would have been better.
Probably won't go next year.

It was so much better at Marrara - my partner and I stayed for hours when it was there. But at teh convention centre I don't think we even stayed for 1 hour!

It was better at Marrara. When for the first time in 5 years last year, and after seeing that I wasn't going to waste my money again this year.

I heard they have a 3 year contract so it will be at the convention center again.

couldn't believe the cost for a exhibitor as well, over 7k

Much more than that for the boat yards - three times more, and some

I know that 1 larger boat yard paid 9, thats 7 plus extra for taking out sponsors etc etc, was ALOT less at Marrara

My info came from a dealer at the event, but he may have been quoting all-up costs, not just the site rent.

I had to pay $200 just for public liability insurance for my stall, this was a requirement for every stall - no insurance, no entry - the boat yards would have paid much more for insurance. So if you lose an eye at the FISH FINDER stall, you are well covered

Marrara hands down,
I went to the convention centre this year and last year, but I won't be going again next year if it is still at the convention centre. Marrara had a better atmosphere, the convention centre felt too crowded and the food choices were pathetic...

i remember getting shot down by everyone last year for saying for bagging out how poop the convention centre was :bonk:

oh how ppls opinions have changed... :bonk:

i didnt go this year, and wont go while its there.. waste of money if you ask me... :|

if they had there poop together they would have organised it on the weeknd just gone... or put it on a 7.5m tide in the middle of the dry season.. majority going are fishos... dont hold it on sick tides during the build up, frig that.. :bonk:
