Inpex will come...it will not happen as quickly as most people want it to but it wil come. There will be short term gains for a few companies they will be offset by lossing there good staff to higher paid construction jobs.... the ones that go to locals...5/8 of f..k all.
They will blow the shyte out of our fine harbour....killing anything within a 2km radius. They will domp the dredge spoil where we don't want it. When the dust settles and its up and running all the jobs will go to people from WA with poop tins of experiance who don't like Darwin much and want it to be like any other big city. Us local and still experienced operators want get a look in just like DLNG
And in the end 70% of the $$ will go to a country that we had a world war with (and won mind you) and we will be stuck with High gas prices localy and a great huge ugly gas plant to show our grand kids...
Yep I can't wait........LOL.

You'll probably find each processing facility has their own training program, like WEL train at their Burrup facility, and Conoco would train Processors at Wickham Point. Problem with Processors jobs you need someone to die to create an opening! Most offshore facilities promote from the current staff to processing, so a Processing pozzie on a floater is even more like rockin' horse shite!

Hi All, There are heaps of darwin locals working at DLNG. Me one of them. 8 people from Darwin have just been hired to do traineeships to get permanent jobs. Conacophillips understands Hiring locals is best, With all the projects starting up in Australia at the moment there is heaps of opportunities for everyone. Even Darwin university has operator training course's available up to cert4 level. Wa uni has course's as well. If your keen on working at Inpex do some training.
