How many fish species live in Darwin Harbour? (don't Google)

400 but only see about 20! I'm probably way off and there's thousands of unknown, prehistoric, new species!

About 1/2 of them have left for the dry season

I have spent a lot of time fishing and I'm pretty sure I have cought all of them, well both of them. Mother in laws and Powertail

About 6 years ago (2008) the NT Government organised a Harbour checkup, if I remember CDU research people and CSIRO were involved with a few others. If you remember there was a lot of talk about the Larrakia Poo Shooter at the time pumping out raw sewage and the harbour water quality and then some beaches were closed to swimming? Nightcliff and Casuarina. I was at NTU then CDU when some of the early research took place 2002-2005. You'd be surprised what came out of some of that early work.........

Can happily say that ive been fishing the harbour since 1997 and have never had a day where I havent caught something..

Ive had days where i havent bought home a fish, but always hook something..
Darwin harbour is awesome!!!

Dont tell every one Hemi! Easiest place to catch a feed of some thing! Might not always be able to catch a target species but if one plan doesnt work the next one will.
