Its the new enviromental way of releasing fish unharmed. Its just like an environet. You never actually ever get to boat the fish saving it from damage.

not me... never... but! Col Cordingly did it at the barra nats one year. Which made me wonder how did he crush the barbs since the nats is a 'barbless' event?

Havent done it myself But put one back on a mates lure one night fishing the magela crossing after dark. WHY??? because this mate could catch a fish in a bath tub and we were sick of him out fishing us every time. He also had bad eyesight so could not see it. We all caught barra and tarpon for a while with old matey missing fish after fish. Eventualy he changed lures and got a fish. So wen he was unhooking I gave him a hand and sliped another one on that lure to. He started dropping fish again. He eventualy gave up and sat back for a beer. Ten minutes later abuse was being thrown around about the bunch of rotten pr..ks we were. He would not let me near his rod again Every time I fish with him now I have to check my geer (just in case)
