Following on from Dragonmaster and triggered by Brent's description of "........ gatherings of the finest Barratologists, whom are characterised by the chiselled features and distinct beard profiles.", I thought we needed a poll to see the correlation between facial hair and hunting/fishing.
As indicated in the title, nasal and ear hair do not count. We are civilized people and accept that these forms of hair need to be kept in check.
I feel that the design of this survey will tend to support my theory that male hunters and fisherpeople are manly men ( the blokes anyway) and sport some form of facial hair. It covers all beard types right down to the namby pamby metrosexual looks that some of you sport (sorry Matt). You will note this is also a non-sexist survey, but to be polite does not delve into secret women's business regarding surplus body hair.
Naturally, I have a manly (trimmed) beard.

When I can, due to work, I always have a face full of hair or letting it grow. Can't stand a moustache, nor can my wife, but a beard - hell yeah - "oomffa, bunga lunga shanga banga" - Cave man for "come here pretty".
I look forward to my holidays not just for the family time and fishing, but also for letting my organic, sustainable and environmentally friendly beard out.

I think hair slippage is an acceptable manly trait. There is of course the old saying that goes something like 'the less hair I get, the more head I get'. I can't verify this statement yet, others who can may care to comment!

Full head of hair but always clean shaven face, 23 years of military life form habits that are hard to break! I got out 14 years ago and still shave every day!

I recently thought about shaving off the facial hair after a mishap last week. I was tying a leader to a double with an albriet knot, wet the line in my mouth and started to pull tight, then BAM caught a moustache hair and pulled it clean outta my face as the knot tightned. Brought tears to my eyes. My mate had tears as well, the bast**d was laughing so hard.

I've had the goatee going for many years. I sort of lack those chiselled movie star looks so don't have much of a chin. The goatee helps me know where my face ends and my neck starts
As for getting hairs randomly plucked surely the beer/rum can top is the natural enemy of the moustache, brings a tear to the eye everytime.............

I think you missed one "the 5 O'clock shadow". I have to save for work but I always push it until the up most limit and who says nasal and ear hair don,t count they are very important when in the pitch black as they let you know when a gap is to tight to stick your head in!

Clean, employment won't allow a beard, and a stache really looks silly on me.

The beard these days. Hair is mainly blond with a couple of sneaky greys coming through but my beard seems to sport every colour under the rainbow. The misses loves it and won't let me shave it off... Get the occasional backwax. Gotta be done otherwise i end up getting confused whether i have a shirt on or not. I have to pull out the whipper snipper to combat my nose and ear hair...
