Some of the comments in the NT News poll about the fishing rally got me thinking ... is the huntin', fishin', "banjo-playin' " Territorian dying out?

Or is he/she quietly maintaining numbers or even breeding up in the back-blocks?

I used to think they were dying out.

us 'darwinians' escaped the politically correct masses to live in darwin in the first place. then the cardigan wearing softies slowly inflitrated our borders.

i think most of them after a year or so, look around and go,"hey i can wear a surong to the shops with no shirt with a stubbie in my hand and no one even blinks!!" then they slowy blend in, returning our natural state of half caveman half rocket scientist. then tada! you have a territorian! liek the town's namesake, we are the missing links that will bring order to the world.

I would like to drop it, it is tedious stuff, but I don't see too many other fishing people pushing the political barrow. And if you ain't pushing the barrow, you are going backwards :captain:
