Tapa Bay road access lost under Kenbi claim

Talk about bungled boat ramps, net buybacks, marine no-go zones, mining disasters etc here.

The attached map shows the access ...

Some important points ...

**Camping allowed on Indian Island and Bare Sand, but not beyond secondary dune line.
**Tapa Bay road still open until further notice - public access to the road will be lost because of an odd situation whereby every time a road is widened on Kenbi land the traditional owners must be compensated for the loss of land. That compo will include loss of Tapa Bay access when the Cox Peninsula Road is widened. It is unknown if the Tapa Bay road permit system will readily award permits to applicants.
**Many protected sites exist across the map, including sites at popular places like One and Two Fella Creeks. These creeks are still accessible, but apparently there is a reluctance to describe the exact nature of the protected sites as they may be vandalised, however this leaves the public open to potential site trespass actions. A tricky one.
