It was pure today, no westerly influence and calm. Also, nobody there!

Took CoK 3 goes to get it like that. Still a pr..k of a ramp with a SE wind that back beach ramp. Not all tide either. Dundee is ok right not, some lighting would be good and perhaps a pontoon to drop off or collect drivers.

Re: Solution for Dundee ramp?
They just need to do some research on similar locations thru the world – get it right before wasting more of our money - the fix will cost as much as the original but needs to be done.
FWIW, the groyne needs extending (a lot) and then curved back in a big loop to make an artificial harbour. This will also reduce the siltation issue
Should have been done right in the first place but.
Also add a pontoon.
Its not as if it’s a deep water ramp.
water/sand modelling needs to be done so they can get it right in the computer and not just hope for the best like theis one has

Re: Solution for Dundee ramp?
What do you need deciphered, CoK is City of Karratha. That is the back beach ramp, I should know I used it for 15 years. Again it's the 3rd time they have tried to make it better, ramp faces NW, winds are SE in winter and westerly in summer.
Not all is what it seems. Dundee is an improvement, from my last 3 trips it could do with some lighting up the top and a pontoon for place ck ups and drop off to the side of the groin.
