I think you will find the amount of cash is similar to the average MP's travel rort and therefore quite significant.

Down on the Murray at Xmas and Easter - juvenile carp everywhere. I sat and caught a dozen in 15 minutes with a slice of bread. Then I got bored!

They tried to clean out a couple of lakes in tassie after some dickhead thought is would be a good idea.
Is charlie carp still in operation? he makes fertiliser out of the carp

Charlie Carp is still going. They were looking at other species a few years ago because the Murray was too low and commercial catches could not keep up with demand. Now high waters, now heaps of carp

The CSIRO was experimenting with a food pellet that would make the carp sterile. It worked but the distribution was a huge problem as some carp would just eat the lot.

Carp are now an important food source for native fish and have utiltsed areas that native fish do not habitat

i live on the goulburn river in vic btw echuca and sheparton.before the floods 2 yrs ago i only caught cod and yelliwbelly.since the floods ive only caught carp and heaps of them.if there not killed its going to return to the early 80s when u could sit on the riverbank and catch carp after carp...be a huge disaster for all of vic

there was a show abt it on abc 1 last week
