Talk about the gear you can't afford and knots you can't tie.

Trailer springs

Post by barnzy »

Hi, I'm after people opinions on trailer springs. Iv got a tandem axle trailer with single leave slapper springs that I'm getting rid of for obvious reasons. I'm just tossing up weather to put multi leaf slapper springs in it or modify it a bit and and welding a rear lug on the trailer and put the springs with shackles on it. No slapping or rubbing then. What's your thoughts?

Go load sharing set up, stops the full weight of trailer transferring from axle to axle as you hit bumps which makes the back of your car pitch up & down & makes passengers seasick
