Talk about the gear you can't afford and knots you can't tie.

Interstate Boat Transport info

Post by Gilly »

G'day fishes.
Just looking for info on transporting a 5.7 trailcraft on trailer from Sydney to Darwin?
Has anyone used a company before and if so which ones are best cheapest etc?
Cheers

Hey Mate,
I got quotes from Gladstone QLD to Darwin for a 5.6 tinnie on trailer(about 3200k's.
from 2400 to 3200 bucks :banghead: :bonk:
Ended up towing it up here myself :fu: F&#K em!!,
you may get lucky tho and get an empty truck wanting some fuel money to head back up here.
I got to 3 ways and had a truckie tell me he could have done it for a grand as his job down south was cancelled.
Hope this helps.

I found the same as Edo. I was getting quotes well over $3K to bring mine across from the Sunshine Coast. The wife and I drove across to Brisbane and towed it back.
Gilly,
Just be careful, the cheapest won't always look after your boat the way you want.

I was getting my quotes from U ship, just google them, You post boat size and point A and B and they have transport companies on there books that bid for your work and send emails to you when a new bid comes through, pretty sure you can add a photo or 2 so they know what they are dealing with and give you an accurate quote.
