Evolution jig heads

Talk about the gear you can't afford and knots you can't tie.

Evolution jig heads

Post by Hally10 »

Anyone use the evolution jig heads with the probe through stinger hooks on their softies. Was reading about them and seems like a good idea when you don't need weedless rigs. Sick of fish hitting the tail and not hooking up. Then again it could be my technique.

I bought mine directly from their website. Snagged a couple of fish with them and they seem to do the job with short strikes.

I have bent the eye up with the hook at top of the soft plastic. They will still snag when rigged this way.

I have used them and i like them. If rigged with the hook out the top so the dougle lays flat on the body they are more of a weedless lure then with it hanging out the bottom. I have used them on KO tail baits and Z Man swimmerz and both work well. Easy as to order off the evoulution website.

lars, How do the standard doubles hold up with the larger fish?

I have only caught a few rats on mine with the heavy duty ones.

Haven't caught anything really big on them yet i think biggest was a 74 or something. They held up no problems to that.
