If you were going to buy a new baitcaster what would it be?

For barra fishing I really like my Curado 200E5. Don't know what the newer models are now, but mine has been excellent

Never buy shimano mate! Daiwa firstly then Abu garcia. But Daiwa zillion bud and you will never look back

I've got an abu revo premier and its light, runs smooth and has an excellent drag straight out the box. The only bad thing I have to say about it is there are some components that show signs of corrosion after a period which I wasn't real impressed with. Just got a new Curado and its pretty nice as well for the price - they seem to be really good value - early days though.

If your not spending heaps the Curado is a good option as are Abu's Revo line (the premier is a bit more expensive).

Zillion is light and smooth. Cast distance is good. Drag is reasonable. Good if you are the type who is pedantic about looking after your gear as they are a bit pricey. If you want a decent middlle of the field reel go the curado or the chronach.
