Anderson plugs

Talk about the gear you can't afford and knots you can't tie.

Anderson plugs

Post by craig.g »

Just fitted 2 new Anderson plugs for new minkota - never used them before - they don't seem to mate very tight, in fact fall apart with ease.
How tight should they connect?

I'm thinking I may need to redo, any advice before I attempt this and possibly buy a new set would be appreciated.

Cheers
Craig

Make sure your terminals are the right way up. Will be loose if upside down.

Hi Craig .g....... As Rossco said right way up & ensure the end tabs lock in which holds the whole show in place. I have 3 sets & all are tight as.
Good luck

Craig G,
where abouts are you....Darwin, Palmo or Rural.

If you are out Howard Springs way I might be able to give you a hand.

Cheers

Thanks guys had one set 180" degree out of whack, blaming poor light or too many gold cans!
Inserted correctly in cold light of day, well maybe not so cold in Darwin.
Nice and tight connection which felt correct, unit powers up ok, just waiting for new battery charger to arrive in the post and water test while swimming lures next weekend.

Again everyone thanks for your help and advice

Cheers CraIg
