Ive herd there,s been some punch up,s at shady barrarge!!! herd somthing on the abc ! anyone shed some light on this ?? :shock:

have seen a few jousting matches though when the barrage gets packed :rofl:

Might be worth heading out there with just an esky and chair just to watch the fun and games; a bit like watching people at the Dinah Beach boat ramp on a busy day (with a video of course to post any f/wits on U-tube)!

My future father in law said they used to take an esky and chair down to Nightcliffe and watch the action on the ramp with the waves hehehe

Haven't been to shady in ages
Never had a problem finding room to fish
Have any of you seen the way I wave a fly rod LOL

its not suprising unfortunately.My pet hate is boats anchoring or drifting within casting distance of the barrage.

too true nikoniko. Nothing worse than being restricted cos your LB and someone with a boat anchors on top of you.

I don't get why boaties come all the way they do to fish the dam barrage.... Leave the LB to thier only point of fishing at Shady and go down stream to enjoy why you brought your boat all that way in the first place :mrgreen:

Last year there was a full on punch up at the Shady launch site. It was quite funny, about 20 boats were lined up ready to launch and some turkey backed his ute in to fish from the tray where we all needed to launch.

You can imagine the words being thrown around. Anyway some bloke jumped in said turkeys car and drove it back up to the car park while said turkey was still on his tray... there was a standing ovation from the line of fisho's waiting to launch :clap:

Said turkey got a tad upset some stranger had jumped in his ute and taken him away from his fishing site and the fists came out in the car park. :lol:

I dont know about you guys but if the fish are on the chew I will be fishing the main barrage from my boat. Especially if it is quite everywhere else. And as a second point plenty of people dont like standing on a barrage due to the handbags floating aound :croc:

Just because you dont have the option of a boat doasnt give you the ownership rights to a fishing spot in my veiw. If I take the effort to tow the boat all the way out there I too should have the right to fish where i choose.

I don't consider it my right to fish the barrage landbased excluding boats but hope some consideration is show by boaties to stay out of my casting range- which isn't far.
