Just loks like a cod or groper of some type. Caught heaps on octajigs like it.

some kind of estuary cod. still a rock cod family that ambushes anything moving. some written profiles of fishes, that particular specie tend to carry ciguatera virus, if I got the word right. just my 1 cent.

Couple names for them. Either Wire Netting cod as suggested or Honeycomb cod. Pretty obvious names considering the pattern on the fish. :mrgreen:
