Hds5 not displaying engine data

Just chasing some advice on how to get your engine data displayed on the sounder. I have a hds5 gen 2 and the cable from the motor is pluged in, just wont display anything.i had a hds5 gen 2 and it used to display the data but that sounder died and since i have replaced it it hasnt worked.

cant remember off hand but you can download the manual from lowrance - or go and see Michael at In outboard marine.

auto reconfigure data sources or something like that. it might be good to go but you have to tell it to look for it
