Re: Muddies
Decided to give buff creek a crack at crabbing today. Have not been there in a long time..... We did all right we managed to get 11 of them! Having said that the we all got a free pass for another crab sesh tomorrow from the cook .... You beauty ( not that i needed one, but the other blokes did hahaha) Thinking of west arm any pointers would be good! Cheers sorry to crash your forum but dont know how to start a new one....

Re: Muddies
Tip for West Arm. The further up (left) you go, beware rockbars. There's heaps. At the last Y junction there's a dirty big rock in the centre just before it splits. The left hand side is full of rockbars. Having said that I've not explored it that well. The right hand stretch I know better. That has some evil in it as well. Generally OK if you go up the centre. Really worth checking out on bigger tides to get a feel of where you can rip the guts out of your boat.
From what I know of the right hand side (as you go in), there's only one rockbar a fair way up. The trick with that (on bigger tides) is finding the channel, though others will know it better than I do.
