Thanks for that tip chanos. I have been chasing them at the Vernons with no success, though I have been diving for them. Might try some jack fruit in a trap, it is pretty pungent and should attact fruit lovers. Ive got one at home. My mangoes are still hard like cricket balls.

You can get them diving at Roche reef.
With the weed reef scenario, I was told by a pretty good source that you take the arc mesh type crab pot to weed reef on an evening low tide and nail the pot down with tent pegs. Leave overnight and pick up next morning.

Often seen washed up on the beach not far from darwin so they must be out there. apparently they "clean house" on the 3 tide neap days so you can catch them out of their hides.
