Just thought I'd post a piccie of some nice crays I picked up a couple of weeks ago on a patch of shallow reef. Used to catch a lot of them in the Cocos Islands. They were known there as Coral Crayfish or Painted Rock Lobster. Also caught the Ornate Cray (Painted Cray).
Anyway . . . . . . Scrubbed up pretty good with some chilli and home-made seafood sauce.

Pulled some HUGE specimens while 'blowing bubbles' out off the back of Old Man Rock over the years - there's definitely a lot more going on under our harbour than most are aware of
