Who's getting good size muddies? and where? Last time we put in was at Elizabeth and every pot had at least 2 blue swimmers but NO muddies! :banghead:

Got one good one in Catalina creek the other day. We were only just inside & trying to work an outgoing tide. Had my parents with me (who are getting on) so pots weren't ideally positioned. We were only just inside as there were more pots already set further in and I wanted to avoid any hassles on the water as well as try to keep them out of the sandflies. It would be worth further exploration further in on an incoming I feel.

i got 1 from 6 pots plus a couple of just too small ones in elizabeth river the other day, first creek up from the boat ramp. caught my biggest crab in sadrgroves creek about a month ago, but if i want to catch crabs go to shoal bay, meckets creek, howard river, little howard, caught more than a few crabs every time.

Put in Lizzy river monday last neaps and pulled 17 with the kids, went back a few day later and only got 5 go figure.

They seem to have gone of the boil a bit :rofl:

been a ripper season so far but only scraped
up 3 Thurs night / Frid morning, but the water temp had gone up about 4 deg since the previous trip.
Normally don't have trouble finding a few bush bashiing up M/Arm, and can't remember the last time we bombed
out so bad :banghead:

I'm blaming the water temp

My crabbing pride has been severly dented :rofl:

any other theory's out there? or noticed a drop off in numbers aswell?

We got 20 good ones with some crabzillas amongst them in a SWA creek on Friday - loads of little ones as well - Saturday was better quality wise - ended up with 15 good ones - once again loads of small ones.

Have to agree on that one, just take a hard left after the rock and drop your pots in once it narrows a little. :drinking8:
