Well worth it, if I may say so. will add that the tides this Saturday is my pick. Launch around midday, Chicken carcasses from Lenards soaked overnight witha little tuna oil. As far up any gutters or snake drains even if the pot sits a little out of the water making sure the entrance/ openning is facing the same direction as the crabs would travel. Floats in the trees as high as possible, stop them fouling under the branches on the rising tide. Check them every hour or so, lots of little crocs around so bring extra bait. General location you ask, Anywhere there is mud and the further and harder places to get too. Happy hunting, should be home before sunset with a feed.......

I usually get the bigger ones at the mouths of small creeks and drains.. I put a pot either side and check every hour and a half or so, depending on tides.. usually get a good feed that way, I have found salmon heads work well for me..

I've been cleaning up on big bucks over Xmas. Use fish frames, last 3 hours of the incoming, don't check them until you want to go home. Everytime you check them you risk putting them in the small mangroves off the ground and you'll get far less. Get the pots on nice flat bank on the lower tide and don't touch them until the very top of the tide.
