Hey guys iv seen some people on here talk about marinating their chicken frames in tuna oil before they go out crabbing. I was wondering where to buy the tuna oil from and what are the best brands?

1. - Catch tuna 2. - Squeeze said tuna really hard 3. - Collect "tuna oil"
Voila!
Na I'm not sure mate, I'd try supermarkets first? Just go a cheapie brand, I doubt there would be much difference between low price/high price. Or maybe there is and its the key difference to catching 30 crabzillas and catching nothing. My uncle goes crabbing a bit and he just uses barra/jewie heads, works good for him!

BCF have it, I played with a range of baits and marinades, chook with tuna oil included. (I heard of a bloke that injects tuna oil into chicken wings) I found plain chicken pieces from Leonards to be the best for a number of reasons, the best reason was no tuna oil stink all over the boat, second best reason was there was not a significant difference in catch rates between baits.

12 bucks for ten pots is not all that great compared to what we were getting at SWA with straight chicken and queenfish frames. Got 15 bucks from 5 pots in two pulls and that was pretty ordinary for our normal efforts. Chicken frames were around $10 for a large box full. Can't go wrong. I have heard best bait is mackerel and tuna for their extra oil in the flesh. Mac tuna would be a killa LoL
