King Ck 19/20.10.2011 : crabs

Heading down south for a wedding so decided to try and get some quality bucks to take for the friends and family. I just get the styrofoam barra packs from Mr Barra and you can fit 2-3 crabs per box depending on size, throw in some mangrove leaves and they are live and kicking when you land down south. Small tides but LOTS of crabs! And compared to SWA a few weeks ago, the bucks outnumbered the bitches and there were some bigguns amongst em!

Baits of lamb outdid the barra heads, and snapper baits FAILED! The muddies must love a bit of grease :smoking:

Saw a decent croc in the trap out there and rang the guys. The croc got p...ed off and was hissing and rumbling at us when I was getting the phone number of the trap to call it in. The dog wanted a piece of him - good luck mutt... Was out there today and say Tommy and his gang getting out. Turned out to be a 3.5m, so not too shabby.

The dog loved it yesterday, even had time enough to let him chase some mullet in the shallows, see the youtube link below

Gday, yeh he goes ok and doesnt seem too fussed. Doesnt get hyped up and doesnt cower, just checks it all out from up front. Hes a bit nervous for the first 10mins in the boat after we launch and then just chills out. Hes only 1 1/2 yrs old and in desperate need of a root! Was funny as fark when the croc started grumbling in the cage, he was like WTF is in there??? Im keen, nah not so keen... Sit back down

PS. For the record, the crabs lasted and the NSW peoples were stoked :clap:

Went out to SWA today for 3 decent bucks, shitloads of small green bucks, plenty of fish and plenty of boats and thunder! Back to work tomoorow after 3 weeks off, @#@#@#@&#%# :fubird:
