Incidently, "Les" in a provincial french dialect (somewhat disused in modern France which is why Pesh would not have heard of it) means "Mud" ie, de les sauvage ...the Mud Crab. This would suggest the writer was trying to indicate that this is a mud crab however I note the absence of the word "sauvage" on this particular crustacean which would tend to suggest that the owner is..........um.......... Ponyplay!! Dont eat that crab!! I found the owner!!!
