got this one up beatrice creek today...nice to get on the board day 1

70cm...again on a little purple warlock...they're working good for me lately got 5 in total only this made the grade though heap of fun in a skinny creek

Hey guys was woundering what the deal is with the monthly comp? Is there a entry thing or is it just for laughs. Can any one have a crack? Am keen to have a sniff! Any info please! What are the guidelines? :mrgreen:

Comp started at the beginning of the year and finished Dec. entry was everyone chucks in 2 lures. Not sure if anyone is going to take it over this year? hopefully so.

check Jans post for the guidlines. It is pretty casual just a bit of fun really that anyone can enter.

A couple of guys have put their hand up to sort the comp out this year I think it'll be sorted out next month entry is/was 2 lures it's pretty relaxed, keep a pic of your best catches for january and see what happens

Hay got this barra down the daly on the 5th measured in at 74cm

Hope to get a bigger one when i head there again at the end of the month

Picked up a few fish off a culvert down towards the Daly last week. This was my best fish at 70cm on the 4th Jan. Will be back down there soon so hope to nab a bigger one then.

Harmesy organised it in 2009 and it was a big success, Bandit took over in 2010 but a lot of people had lost interest and a few got on and bagged him out which was not needed.

Entry fee was 2 lures in previous years, basically to get it up and running someone needs to put up a thread each month for fish to be posted on, set a deadline toget lures sent into them by a certain date and put up a score board at the end of each month. The person with the most cms combined over the year wins. Usually at the end of the year a few beers will be organised where a prizes will be handed out for a mystery fish each month and biggest fish each month along with prizes for anyone who completes a barra for 12 months, not sure if anyone did this year, a few got 11 months.

If someone wants to take it over this year, send a PM to bandit and make sure he is not going to do it and send a PM to Matt Flynn the manager of this forum and post up some rules.
