Both Mr RiverBabe and myself are running the comp this year. For those that dont know us were failrly new to the site but have put our hands up. My Name is Billy and Mr RiverBabe is Brendan (BJ).

We want to keep this simple and fun for all involved however were hoping the prizes will be better then all other years. So to encourage new entrants etc.

Rule will stay pretty much the same with a few exceptions. Please see below and post up comments before JAN 31st so we can adjust if needed.

1)You can submit your best legal barra each month.

2) 1 point will be awarded for every cm of fish.

3) You must submit a picture of the fish on a brag mat, or sticker - Best way to be spot on is have a stopper at the 0cm mark so the fishes mouth can br pressed against it. Make sure the fish's mouth is completely closed and up against the end of the brag mat/ stopper. Please guys take two pics of the fish just in case the first is disallowed.

4) You must submit your fish before the end of the month - Only info needed for the entries is the general area the fish was caught, ie:- South Ali, Adelaide River, Darwin Harbour etc. No fishing reports needed as most dont want to give up their spots and techniques which is fine by us.

5) You don’t have to catch a fish a month to win - Were dropping the Barra A month challenge at this stage.

6) Barra may be caught anywhere, on live bait or on lures

7 ) NO PHOTOSHOPPED entries and you should have a date/time stamp for the pic or NT news in the pic to prove the date so no older photos can be entered.

If your entry is missing any of the above then it will not count

9) No barramundi fishing guides permitted

10) NO DAM FISH...... Wild caught only.





Catorgories at this stage are.

Overall winner in Points.
Overall Runner Up in Points.
Biggest fish for the year.
Biggest Barra caught each month.
Wooden Spoon Either no barra for the year or smallest Barra.


Were looking at an entry of $10 per entry and one HB lure or a pack of SP's So all up would be around the 15-20 bucks entry. The reason for the $10 is that at the end of the year people might not need a bag of lures so a bit of cash to fix something on the boat or restock the tackle box would be better. The one Lure will go towards either the Biggest Baz a month or the Runner Up prize (yet to be decided) Matt Flynne has come to the Party with the wooden spoon award and also $100 towards the final prize pool He is also approaching some of his sponsors to get a decent prize of some kind from one of the shops for the Winner.

Prizes are still in the air and may or may not be posted when they come to light. I will speak with Matt about this soon,

Any input is invited but please be quick as were running out of time. Money can be paid by bank transfer or paypal transfer and lures sent in.

If you have your camera with you use that if you have the NT new throw it in the pic but it's not a must as people have spoken and said it's not needed. So please guys be honest and no old pics etc. Let play fair for all involved.

Time and date is upsetting people so it's must. As for our letter box it's fairly secure as the gate is normally locked and there is a pitbull at home that is normally pretty hungry LOL. But we can also meet up with people on a weekend or during the week or meet at my place. We will try and accommodate everyone as best we can.

ok no worries...managed to google my camera instructions and turn on the date stamp...interestingly the site I found also had a link to a free download that enables you to stamp the date and time on any digital photo...

No fish for January mate. This was discusse with Matt and we decided to run it from February on. Hope that's understandable.
