With the decky down south Vic and I went for a quick look to see if there were any red claw around. Not as many as previous trips but we got a BEAUTY cherabin
Heres a pic - couple of my favourite delights - too good to feed to stinkin barra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice to be able to go get this stuff so close to home!!

FH,
mate same bait i use for the re claw - throw chook pellets in and wait around 15 minutes then throw the cast net and see what ya get. In the water we chase our red claw you can see the little buggers on the bottom. i had just cast for and got a few red claw and shone the light down in the hole again and there was the monster cherabin - too easy really.
I know some blokes use pellets for them on the sand bars down the daly as well - probably better than fighting for a spot to put your pots right now too - bit dodgy with the crocs about though!!
