compound bow poundage?

Post by muntzy »

G'day guys,
I enjoy reading the stories on fishing and hunting , definitely gotta out a bit more myself and put a few more posts up. I have recently moved up to Darwin and am keen to have a crack at a pig or two with a compound bow, mine is only 55lbs, is that a bit undergunned for chasing piggies? used to muck around with it down south in WA for rabbits and other little critters. Has been a few years since I got it out, should probably get stuck into the targets for a while first. Any Bow Hunting Clubs in the Darwin Area?
Cheers. Muntzy.

gday muntzy, 55# is plenty for huntin hogs, brumby, donkeys, feral dogs & cats and geese but I wouldn't chase any buff with it. match it with a good arrow and a "RAZOR" sharp quality aussie 2 blade broadhead like tusker, blackstump or ribtec and you'll be grassing hogs before you know it  heres the numbers for the three clubs up here I can only recommend topend bowhunters as its the only onbe I have been a member of, good bunch of blokes!
topend bowhunters club- 0889831284,
wandering archers- 89450044
Fred’s pass archers- 8983 3303
