Try "Want more horsepower on your hull......legally?" in the search. Don't know how to copy & paste the link with an Apple. Are you in Darwin lar2784? I was advised by one of the local dealers that there is a boat builder here that would reconstruct & re-certify hulls here.
Give him a call or email, very helpful guy, and from talking to him he seems happy to travel to do them. There might be the possibility to get a few done on the same trip if you ask around.
Cost about $380 from memory including supplying a new compliance plate.

I can do it for you, were you the guy that called up about it the other day?
There are a couple of factors that you have to consider,1. how old is the hull? an old hull is more suseptable to problems. 2. There is a reason manufactures de-rate their hulls, is there enough structure to handle the extra weight and torsional vibrations? 3. goes on from two, dose it require strengthening to accomplish the desired motor size?
I personaly do not up-rate hulls without seeing them, and would you want someone to blindly up-rate your hull? By re-rating it the person signing off on it is taking on liability, hence why not many people are willing to do it.
Cheers

Hi lar2784 George sounds like he can help you out I got mine done by Nick Lockyer because I didn't know George did it.
I did a heap of photos for Nick and he gave me another 20 hp + 40kg extra weight for the motor, but I lost the amount of pasenger and gear I could carry. Was well worth the effort.
Cheers

Hi Aaron Sorry for the late reply, been away with a big job so have been a bit scarce. Yea bring it around and I'll have a look at it for you, it may pay to call first as I'm trying to catch up on some overdue fishing therapy.
Cheers
