just curious as to whether anyone is running a 90hp on a 4.6m plate boat? what performance are you getting out of it, speed, fuel consumption, holeshot etc?

I"ve got a 2006 suzuki om a 5m GS. Have never calculated fuel consumption. Top speed (aluminium prop) 58kph fully loaded (two blokes 130 litres fuel etc). Holeshot no problems at all.

There was a little 3.9 quintrex explorer for sale not so long ago that had a 90hp on it.

I have a 50 yam on a 5.5 plate. Great economy but not quick. All depends on how you drive them and how you load them. Getting the setup right is very important though. Had lots to do to get mine to perform considering the setup. Very happy now, but would love more speed.

I have a 4.8 Hydracraft, weighs a ton, got a brand new Suzi 90 on her, had a Suzi 90 before that as well.......three blokes and all gear I can ring it's neck and get about 60 kph, me on my own it winds out to around 75 kph. Went up the South last weekend, bridge to top, right up Leichardt and Nourlangie, used 22 litres.

475 tabs with 90 did just over 60 km wot. Pretty beamy boat though which slowed it down

Pretty sure barramatta has a 115 on a 4.8, he was talking about upgrading to a 140.
