Quick trip up the Elizabeth 04/07/12 : Barramundi & Estuary Fishing Trip Reports

G'day guys,

Went for a couple of hours up the Elizabeth on Saturday just to chuck the pots in and have a bit of a fish.

Put the pots out at around 1000 and started fishing some of the drains just drifting with the tide.

There was lots of Barra boofing up in the drains I ended up pulling 3 barra which were my first up here so I was pretty happy with that.
I kept 1 at 56cm and threw the 45cm and 62cm ones back to fight another day.

I caught a 70cm queenie and a little bream as well.

Pulled the pots and got 1 muddie and 3 blue swimmers so had an awesome feed sunday night with the missus, my sister and her husband.

good signs, the harbour should only be getting better and better from here as the weather warms... must suck to live in darwin and not like fishing when the build up arrives! nothing to look forward to
