Twice in a month yet seemingly so rare?? : Barramundi & Estuary Fishing Trip Reports

This has got me wondering now just how "rare" is such an event?? I was TOLD that double hook-ups on the same barra are very rare, though cases seen a bit more with pelagics - esp macks...

I caught my PB 90cm chromie at Tommy Cut Mouth Easter Monday and that was an X-Rap Magnum and Classic in it's gob (the latter from girl in front of me). I was told at the time by the guide that he'd not seen it in 20 years of guiding.

Then it happened again last week at Corroboree (different company) with two Bombers gobbled by the one barra - this one was 77cm.

Have many other seen it??

I reckon it'd be more likely that the barra crossed the lines after it hit one lure and snagged the 2nd one be hard to know 100% what happened it'd still be pretty cool to see

IIMB - i didnt get a photo of the first one (my PB of 90cm - which I DO have a photo of - just minus the lures) but the first one DEFINITELY had both lures in its mouth. This one pictured had lime green bomber snaged in its cheek as shown, but another hole / bleeding from a point in its mouth that was unrelated to the tiger bomber shown in this pic. Both very much took two lures...
