Far too early to tell.
We had a very wet 'start' of this wet. but now it's died in the arse a bit.
Having said that - all it is going to take is another good monsoonal surge and a low passing over our heads for us to be flooded? It could all happen in a matter of days.
Ah.. the weather - the last frontier, no one really know what its going to do.

for my two cents i reckon that while the amount of rain that fell in some areas was alot (Jan10 was record rainfall januaryfor darwin for 10years apparantly) it would have been better off to fall less intensley over a longer period giving bait fish the time to spawn grow etc (i would love to know a little bit more about the life cycle of fish like Rainbow fish and mullet) so just by looking at the rainfall levels alone i dont think is the best way to judge it. frm what i have seen there is a lot of bait (mullet) at the mouths of big rivers and while some good couler changes occuring up the top not too much flowing out of them so they are pretty quiet.
The adelaide river for example (which i have only ever had "success" with in the Dry anyway) has basically already gone through the whole normal levels - Flood - Run off - normal levels cycle in about 2-3weeks ... far to quick for any serious bait spawning i would imagine?
anyway i will be nostril-darmus and predict that everywhere fishes alot better this weekend than last as last weekend there was alot of water lying about for the limited bait to hide in. wont be the case this weekend.
