I'll do a load of washing tonight and hang it up ouside, and do some painting tomorrow as well if needed!! Had the pool cleaned yesterday, so we really should have had a storm last night.

Happy to see it be a dry wet. The lower river heights mean less boats = me happy.

Its not that late when you think about it. It was an early Cyclone and i reckon that sucked alot of our weather and took it to North Queensland. You never see alot of rain in December and its mainly coming on in late January. Last year it came in in april. I told a few people we were getting barra at the culverts a few weeks ago and they all said Bulshit its way to early. Or really already culverts are UP?

So its not that late.
Im not that convinced MRB. Over the years we have had plenty of cyclones in late december around Christmas and the monsoon usually sets in around then. We just havent had any lead up rain either. I hope we get some serious stuff before the end of the month.

This time last year and the year before and the year before that and so on and so on, the girraween laggon has been almost up to the road by now, It's still basically dry.. most of the local spots I hunt are not accesable at all.. floodplains normally have quite a bit of water on them by now usually, yet I rode my quad all the way down to the river the other day and it was basically dry still.. Might not always have the monsoonal rain at this time of year but we do normally get a fair bit more than this in lead up..
